Poker Club

Izabella Curtis  IB student Poker Club! in my freshmen year we had a poker club and I was going to continue it however the sophomore president wasn't very organized/controlling over the club so it ended up dying off. But this year I brought it back! In this club, I teach poker strategies, theories, games, and other important factors when it comes to playing the game. I have identified this with Learning Outcome 4 because I have committed a portion of my time to lead and be a part of this club. This learning outcome, it talks about the dedication of time and engagement, and for the past few years, that is what I have been doing.

The Menil & Richmond Hall

Izabella Curtis In Student 2021 The Menil & Richmond Hall I walked to the Menil collection from my school and the Richmond hall, another collection on the Menil grounds. This collection is very stunning, with many different cultures and styles of art. I personally love Cy Twombly's work which has its own section in the collection. There were two big exhibitions that I felt were very interesting, an Australian artist that used traditional paints and styles and the other by a local artist from Houston that only uses lights/light fixtures. I identified this activity with Learning Outcome 1, I felt that this outcome was best represented because whenever I see new exhibits or experience new collections I feel like I grow as a person and improve on my analysis of art and learning new techniques to becomes more aware of what the art world has to offer
